The children are excited to be at preschool. They are full of playful energy, like Otters! The children will often test the limits to see where the boundaries are. Parents and teachers will be ready to offer guidance. They want to be independent and should be encouraged to do so, but they still need reassurance from their teacher and the parent helpers. They may have a short attention span and have trouble staying engaged in activities and projects due to their energy level. A calm atmosphere and adult guidance can expand their interests and help them manage their emotions Children are learning to play together and will begin to use their problem solving skills to get along and create more involved play.
